School stuff!
hey ! my name is Kelsey and i am in grade11 and go to resurrection school.
Our school had been doing its lenten mission project right now. That is when we raise money during lent. All of the money this year is going to the foundation "Save a family PLan". This is an organization in our community that helps local and strugling famalies!
To rasie as much money as we can we decided to have a Dance-a-thon! This is when people at our school are going to dance from 7 pm to 7am...at Rez!! The students participating get pledeges from differnt people, and all the money goes towards our foundation. Our Dance-a-thon will take place on the first floor of our school. During the night we will have a DJ playing music, numerous games such as DDR! Also we will have a room set up where the participants can watch dance movies such as "Step Up" "Take the lead" and "Save the last dance"!!
So far we have raised over 2000 dollars in pledges, with more money coming in every day!
This is a great, and fun way to raise money!
We are very excited for this event..and hope that it will be a great sucess!! I will send another blog after the event is over...to tell everybody how it went!
